Faithful God, there are many ways to show our love and faithfulness.

Some times call for acts of devotion, others acts of service, others a simple act of being present.

We always have those in need with us, and you in turn are with them, calling us to discernment and action.

O God, may we be open to the ways to anoint others with the unique gifts with which you have blessed us.

May we be sensitive to the tears of the world, and how we may best honor them and make them gentle.

Amen.
