Fall Reading 2023

Once again, my favorite time of year is almost here. Among the many things I’m looking forward to, a new list of books to read is among them.

I mostly enjoyed my summer reading list. And now that fall has nearly arrived, it’s time to make a new one.

Here’s what I’m hoping to get to these final months of the year:

  • Haunted Akron by Jeri Holland
  • God, Sex, and Musical Theatre: Meditations for Unlocking the Powerful Self by Kristin Hanggi
  • Lurking Under the Surface: Horror, Religion, and the Questions that Haunt Us by Brandon R. Grafius
  • Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig
  • The He-Man Effect: How American Toymakers Sold You Your Childhood by Brian Brown
  • The Gift of Restlessness: A Spirituality for Unsettled Seasons by Casey Tygrett
  • How to Sell a Haunted House by Grady Hendrix
  • The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu
  • Martial Arts and Philosophy: Beating and Nothingness by Graham Priest
  • Preparing for Christmas: Daily Meditations for Advent by Richard Rohr

So lots of books to put me in a good Spooky Season mood, an Advent book for when that rolls around later, and a sprinkling of others.

What are you planning to read as 2023 comes to a close?

Here are some suggestions if you need them.
